Watercolors: I have been primarily a watercolor artist for 22 years. Watercolor is a wonderfully transparent medium which allows me to paint flexibly and with ease. My work is primarily painted on Arches 140 lb cold press paper and I use mostly Windsor and Newton Artist grade watercolors. I have a variety of subject themes and can email you more examples of my work.
Egg Tempera: Egg tempera is an incredibly old and very permanent medium using the yolk of an egg mixed with pure pigment and water. It allows me the same transparent luminosity that watercolor does but lets me go much further. I am able to build many more layers and go back and forth more from dark to light and back again letting more complex compositions evolve! It also allows me to get my work out from under glass. It is a relatively new medium for me and I am very excited. I have become very involved in this medium for the past year and it is quickly becoming my medium of choice! Giclée Print: A Giclée Print is a digital image using an extremely high resolution camera. The inks are very archival and the paper is a beautiful rag paper simulating the paper used in my original watercolors. The quality is superb and exciting, thus I have expanded my Giclée inventory to allow my clients some larger more affordable pieces. I am keeping my editions under 200 and each print is hand numbered and signed . |
